Afandou Village

Afandou Village is located 22km southeast from the city of Rhodes and 5 km from the known holiday destination Faliraki. Afandou in Greek means invisible, meant to point out, that the village cannot be seen from the sea. This is to note that the settlement was founded at a time when pirates roamed and raided the Mediterranean islands and its inhabitants were close to the sea and safe from the danger.

Today Afandou village is a central touristic point, where visitors can organise their sightseeing, get advice and book excursions to their point of interest around the island. Variety of restaurants, tavernas, supermarkets, local shops can be found around the village, waiting to welcome guests. Local public transportation, transfer to the beach by a small train is also available in Afandou as well as bank and ATM services.
The village provides all the necessities for visitors and travellers all year round.
Most of the island attractions are accessible in short distance from the village.
The airport and the port are approximately twenty km away, Faliraki, Tsabica beach and the Seven Springs are about seven km away, while Lindos town and the Valley of the Butterflies are close to forty minute drive away.
Afandou beach
is one of the most beautiful on the island, just 1.4km away from our accommodation complex and has a range of 8km in length. Superbe unspoiled beach is free for access to the visitors, giving a perfect opportunity for cool of in the crystal clear sea. At some spots along the beach, payable services such as sun beds , umbrellas and food canteens are available.
In a four km distance from the access to the beach, water sports are offered to visitors, as well as daily boat tours to different nearby beaches, such as Afandou Caves and much more worth visiting.
